Volunteer at Catlow East
The Catlow Theatre has been a cornerstone of Barrington’s cultural landscape for nearly 100 years. As we work to restore this beloved landmark, we invite passionate community members to join us in this exciting journey. Volunteering at Catlow East not only supports the restoration of the historic Catlow Theatre but also gives you a hands-on role in preserving a piece of local history for future generations.
Whether you’re interested in assisting with events, helping in our retail space, or lending a hand with our educational outreach, there’s a place for you to make a meaningful impact. Volunteers at Catlow East are involved in a variety of activities, from greeting visitors and sharing The Catlow’s rich history, to helping set up displays and promoting our mission at community events.
By volunteering, you’ll have the chance to work alongside other dedicated individuals who share a passion for the arts, local history, and giving back. You’ll also gain unique insight into the ongoing restoration efforts and even learn some behind-the-scenes details about the renovation of The Catlow Theatre. It’s a rewarding experience where your time and effort directly contribute to the revitalization of this historic gem.
We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you have a few hours to give each month or want to commit to a more regular schedule, your time and talents are valued. No prior experience is necessary—just a desire to be part of something special. Training and guidance are provided to ensure you feel confident in your role.
Every volunteer hour helps us get closer to our goal of reopening The Catlow Theatre in time for its 100th anniversary in May 2027. Together, we can preserve its legacy and ensure it remains a vibrant community space for arts and entertainment.
